Terms and conditions for a sponsorship membership with Ozeankind® e.V.

1 How can you become a sponsoring member of Ozeankind® e.V.?

You have two options to become a sponsoring member of Ozeankind® e.V. Either you print out the application and send it to us in full by post-or you submit the online form.

Legal notice. The use of the online form preserves the written form.

2 What happens after you submit the request to us?

Online application

After you have submitted the application to us in full, you will receive an e-mail from us in a timely manner asking for confirmation that you really would like to become a sponsoring member of Ozeankind® e.V.

This is necessary to further limit the possibility of misusing your data (and our time) as much as possible.

We will send this e-mail to the address you used for your application.

In this e-mail you will also find all the important information about your sponsorship membership, including payment methods, as well as all the data transmitted to us for control. Your application cannot be processed until you have confirmed your refund.

If you do not receive an e-mail from us after your request, please also check your spam filter or mail trash. If you can’t find anything there either, please get in touch as soon as possible mitglieder@ozeankind.de or by calling + 49 162 9052905.

Application by post

After we have completed and signed your application in full, you will also receive confirmation of your sponsorship membership by post with all important information about the sponsorship membership.

3 Term of your sponsorship and termination

In order to be able to plan future projects as good as possible, we are working with yearly membership fees only.

The duration of your paying membership is always 12 months – starting with the month in which we process the payment by acceptance giro for the first time, based on the payment by acceptance allowance as a part of your application.

The Ozeankind® e.V. sponsoring membership does not end automatically.

Of course, you can still cancel your sponsorship membership at any time-with a deadline of two months to the end Your individual runtime. Please note the example below – if you have any questions, please send an e-mail to us mitglieder@ozeankind.de or write us a letter to the address in the imprint.

At the end of the membership there are no entitlements for repayment of your contributions that may already have been paid.


You send us your application for a sponsoring membership on May 11, 2019.
On June 1, 2019, we will collect the annual contribution from your account.
Your sponsorship membership will start on June 1, 2019 and will continue until May 30, 2020.

If you do not cancel in writing (an e-mail also preserves the written form), we would process the payment acceptance giro of the new annual contribution on June 1, 2020 – the next June 1, 2021 – and so on on.

Of course, if you want to stop your membership, you can do so at any time (please note the deadlines a few lines beforehand). To do this, an email is enough. Please write to mitglieder@ozeankind.de or a letter to the address in the imprint of this website.

Your termination would have to be received by us in this example on March 31, 2020 (i.e. 2 months before your individual end of the term).

4 Payment notices, maturity of the first annual fee, direct debit

For sponsoring members from Germany and Austria, the payment of the membership fee is only possible by direct debit. For sponsoring members from Switzerland and/or with an account in Switzerland, we can only offer payment of the annual fee by wire transfer as of now.

The direct debit will be processed on the first working day of the month, on the 03 at the latest. the month that follows the month in which your application has been submitted. At the same time, this means that the time limit for announcing the direct debit may be shortened, namely in the event that we submit your fully completed application for grant membership and the direct debit mandate as part of the application, for example, one day. Before the end of the month.

The contribution can only be made by SEPA direct debit-payment by invoice or other means is unfortunately not possible at this time.

5 Information on SEPA direct debits

Since the contribution payment for Oceanind® e.V. is collected via direct debit procedure (for Germany and Austria), here is some more information on this.

As mentioned above, you will receive a confirmation email from us after you have submitted your online application to us in full. This confirmation email is also considered a pre-notification, to which we are obliged, according to the legislature, as you will find in this e-mail all information about the direct debit mandate and all the due dates.

No advance announcements will be made for any further debits in the following years.

6 Bank fees for return writing and consequences for the sponsorship membership

Any fees incurred by our bank that we incur in the event of a return note (for example, if your account should not be covered, if your bank details have changed without knowing or if you have given us incorrect bank details (perhaps a Number rehers), we will have to unsubscribe with your next contribution document.

Why? We would otherwise have to offset any unnecessary costs this will incur with the contributions of other sponsoring members-that is, other members “pay” this bank fee. In the event of a chargeback, you will not be a sponsoring member of Ozeankind® e.V.

7 Chargeback of your direct debit

You can request the chargeback of your direct debit within eight weeks (please contact your bank). In the event of a chargeback, you will not be a sponsoring member of Ozeankind® e.V.

8 Change your bank details, postal address or membership fee

Just write us a quick email mitglieder@ozeankind.de if your bank details have changed or if you want to change your membership level. Please note that your annual contribution must be at least EUR 60.

9 Data Privacy

We only use your data for member support purposes. Under no circumstances do we give this data to third parties. More information about our data protection can be found here: https://ozeankind.de/datenschutz/

10 Confirmation of your membership fee
(Certificate of your grant, “Tax Certificate”)

Your sponsorship membership fee for Ozeankind® e.V. is in accordance with § 10b number 1 EStG tax deductible. For your membership fee you will receive a certificate until March 31st of the consecutive year. If you don’t get one, be sure to let us know by email to mitglieder@ozeankind.de, by phone at + 49 162 905 2905 or by post.

11 project-related E-Mails
In order to be able to inform you about our projects to make sure we can keep our promise about transparency, we will send project-newsletter emails for sponsorship members.

12 Meeting of Members (Invitation by E-Mail)
Sponsorship members will be invited to our yearly meeting of members, although they cannot vote as described in §3 paragraph 9. The invitations to this meeting of members can be send by email, based on Oberlandesgericht Zweibrücken and its decision on March 4th 2013, 3 W 149/12) and meets the requirements of the written form.
